The development of this orchestra is a sterling example of how one man can make a difference. Arts and music education--anywhere in the world--need not be threatened. Jose Antonio Abreu and The National System of Youth & Orchestras and Choirs of Venezuela
Actually, this needs no commentary on our part, other than to remind our blog audience that one of the purposes of See Sharp is to support and extend the appreciation of music and music education. Jose Antonio Abreu is perhaps a "king" in extending the opportunity for music education and performance to youth, and, partciuarly, poverty-stricken youth.
